Photos with Santa

The Downtown Orillia Management Board in collaboration with December Sun, The Orillia Public Library, Manticore Books and Creative Nomad Studios are thrilled to host a Free Christmas Photos with Santa event.

This is a Free event, but we do ask that you bring a canned food donation for our local food bank.

Our event will held on November 26th from 10am -2pm , on the second floor of Creative Nomad Studios during the Orillia Christmas Market.  This event will allow you to pre-register from 10-11:30am, or drop in from 11:30am-2:00pm.  If you would like to pre-register/book your timeslot please click here.

During the photos the Orillia Public Library will be hosting a free Holiday Craft activity for your children to participate in!

We will have beverages, crafts, a small gift and good ol’ Saint Nick! We cannot wait to see all of your smiling faces on November 26th.

Santa Claus Parade

Once again, the Orillia District Chamber of Commerce will be running the Santa Claus Parade! This is the largest Christmas parade North of Toronto! Featuring over 100 floats, bands, and Santa himself, this is a great way to ring in the holiday season!

44th Annual Orillia Scottish Festival

A three day celebration of Scottish culture. Friday evening Ceilidh at the Legion. It is our privilege to invite you to bring your vehicle to our 22nd Annual Downtown Orillia Classic Car Show being held this year on Saturday August 13th, 7am-5pmWe know that you will enjoy the live music and activities taking place throughout the day.  Your registration includes a 2022 dash plate, special offers and coupons to many downtown businesses and chances to win great door prizes!

To secure a specific location on the street, you should arrive with your car no later than 7:30am, as spaces fill up quickly. You cannot save a space for someone else, so you must arrive as a group if you wish to be parked together.

Kid’s Halloween Costume Contest

It’s that time of year again! The kid’s Halloween Costume Contest will run online again this year. Kids can get all dressed up in their awesome costumes and submit a picture to our office any time this month before midnight on Halloween night. We will be voting on our top five favourite costumes and winners will receive tasty treats and some Downtown Dollars as prizes. The winners photos will be posted on our social media accounts, and contacted to come pick up their prizes on November 1st, 2021.

Submissions can be sent to office@downtownorillia.ca with the kids name and phone number.
