Great Easter Egg Hunt

April 11th, 2020 in Downtown Orillia

This Easter bring the whole family & join us in Downtown Orillia! 

Meet the Easter Bunny + scour downtown in search of colourful eggs + have your face painted + enjoy hunting for items during the family treasure hunt all beginning at 9:30 am at the Orillia Opera House. Trade your eggs in for tasty chocolates from Apple Annies Cafe and Shop at the egg exchange located at the historic Orillia Opera House and don’t forget to find the GOLDEN EGG to win an awesome prize!

Please stay tuned for a list of downtown businesses included on the treasure hunt. Hunt will begin at 9:30 am rain or shine so please be sure to dress weather appropriate and bring a basket to collect eggs in. All ages welcome!

Join us for this kick-off to spring street festival in Downtown Orillia!

Watch the main street come to life with amazing live music and performances – stay tuned for the lineup!

Bring the whole family and enjoy outdoor exhibits, entertainment for the kids, bouncy castles, face painting and of course, amazing sidewalk sales for the adults.

The amazing line-up of talent planned for this year’s Into the Green & Blues Street Festival in Downtown Orillia will be posted closer to the date!

22nd Annual Classic Car Show

August 15th, 2020 in Downtown Orillia

A jaw-dropping collection of over 400 classic cars line the Downtown streets! Enjoy live entertainment, great dining, shopping and the largest car show in the region!

Pre-Registration is now open!

It is our privilege to invite you to bring your vehicle to our 22nd Annual Downtown Orillia Classic Car Show being held this year on Saturday August 15th, 7am-5pmWe know that you will enjoy the live music and activities taking place throughout the day.  Your registration includes a 2020 dash plate, special offers and coupons to many downtown businesses and chances to win great door prizes!

PLUS Pre-registered vehicles receive two ballots for a chance to Win a Classic Longblock Engine Rebuild by Parry Automotive Orillia*!

Fill in the attached registration form and return it to the Downtown Orillia office with your $15 pre-registration fee ($13.27 + HST, in the form of cash or cheque) now!

To secure a specific location on the street, you should arrive with your car no later than 7:30am, as spaces fill up quickly. You cannot save a space for someone else, so you must arrive as a group if you wish to be parked together.

Kids’ Halloween Costume Parade

October 31st, 2020 in Downtown Orillia

Bring the family, dress in costume and join us for this fun, FREE costume parade & contest!

Where: Meet us outside Studabakers beachside, 211 Mississaga St. East dressed in costume at 12 pm on Saturday, October 31st for a chance to win the BEST COSTUME prize. The best costume contest will occur at 1 pm in the Orillia Public Library courtyard, 36 Mississaga St. West.

Details: We will parade up the main street on the sidewalk collecting spooky treats along the way! Be sure to bring something to collect your treats in and be prepared to make your way up the street with hundreds of other trick-or-treaters. The parade will go all the way up to Albert Street ending at the Orillia Public Library courtyard where there will be an opportunity to make Halloween themed crafts with the best costume announcement occurring at 1 pm.

You will also be provided with a Halloween passport to be stamped at all of the participating downtown shops and restaurants offering tricks, treats and spooky sweets! After all the Halloween fun, make your way back down the main street to finish trick OR treating and have your passport stamped at participating downtown merchant businesses for a chance to win a prize! Passports can be dropped off at the Downtown Orillia office mailbox located at 33 Mississaga St. east at the end of the event or during the week following the event.

Horse & Wagon Rides

Hop aboard a free horse drawn wagon rides at the Pizza Pizza intersection between 1- 3 pm. Explore the Downtown and take a trip back in time as you get into the Christmas spirit!
