Mariposa Arts Theatre is pleased to bring this little tongue-in-cheek naughty-potty humour then urine in for a good time.
Urinetown-The Musical is about a world where private washrooms are forbidden and you have to pay to go. Hilarious fun that’s about as far away from Sound of Music as you can get.
Orillia Silver Band will perform a Benefit Concert for Hillcrest lodge, offering assisted living for seniors in need. The concert will feature the music of Tchaikovsky, Grieg and Lovatt-Cooper.
Catch two time Mariposa Alumnus, Zachary Lucky on October 25th as he brings the sounds of his new album “Midwestern” home, to the Orillia Opera House for one night only.

This event is Able Theatre’s take on Thanksgiving and on gratitude. The troupe welcomes the whole Orillia Community to celebrate what makes the holiday special; family, food, harvest time, autumn weather. It’s a fun, thoughtful mix-up of improvised scenes, songs, dances and monologues created and performed by the cast of exceptional players.
Raising money to be able to donate 15 Fender CD-60 Acoustic Guitars with case to Patrick Fogarty Secondary School.
The hope is to donate to every high school in Orillia over the next couple years. And if it goes well, move onto donating to other schools in the Muskoka and Simcoe areas.
With the help of local business owner Jeff Gilbert of Gilbert Guitars, we will be able to donate these 15 guitars if we reach our goal of $4,000 before the end of August.
These guitars will be donated to the school before the start of the new school year in September and will then be the property of Patrick Fogarty. The students will use these guitars for the duration of the class right up until their exam and then pass it onto another student during the next semester that the program is offered.
