NEWS RELEASE
ROOTS NORTH MUSIC FESTIVAL
********************
To our fans, artists, venues, ticket holders and sponsors:

The Roots North Music Festival was created to encourage everyone to come together and support Downtown Orillia businesses and local artists after a long winter, but with the current situation in our world today, coming together is just not the right thing to do.

Because of this, we regrettably have made the choice to postpone our upcoming festival that was scheduled to take place April 23rd to 25, 2020. While we have worked hard and would love to share the talents of many local and internationally known performers with you, the time is just not right to continue as planned.

Our committee is sad and disappointed, as I’m sure you are as well, but we believe it is the correct decision and promise to work hard to ensure the festival will come back stronger in 2021.

We are kindly encouraging patrons to consider holding on to their tickets for use at our next festival being tentatively scheduled for April 22nd to 24th, 2021 or donating your ticket purchase price to our organization.

As a not-for-profit group, hanging on to your ticket or donating it rather than requesting a refund will help immensely to keep our small organization financially viable. We of course understand that not everyone is able to donate their ticket purchase cost and respect whatever decision you make. In the coming weeks we will work with patrons that would like a refund.

Thank you to everyone that has contributed and continues to contribute to the festival and the organizing committee that plans it each year for your enjoyment.

Your encouragement and appreciation for what we put together as a volunteer board makes all the work very fulfilling and assists to keep us motivated. More info to come soon.

Respectfully,
Derick Lehmann, Board Chair
